The Eurojackpot lottery started back in 2012, on March 17, when tickets first started being sold. The first Eurojackpot draw which ever took place was just 6 days later, on March 23, 2012. The first participating countries were Germany, Finland, Denmark, Slovenia, Italy, the Netherlands, and Estonia. Spain joined the party in 2012, and Iceland, Latvia, Croatia, Norway, Sweden, and Lithuania joined in 2013. Hungary and the Czech Republic were added to the list in 2014, Slovakia in 2015, and Poland in 2017. On the 25th of March 2022, the EuroJackpot lottery got an upgrade to its draw down date, prizes and a minor change to the game rules. Players currently select 2 bonus balls with numbers between 1 and 12, whereas previously would select them from numbers between 1 and 10. Additionally, the jackpot was given a €30M increase to the maximum jackpot cap, so from a previous maximum of €90M to the new max jackpot of €120M. The other prize tiers were also given a small boost to compliment the jackpot increase. It was from this date that the lottery would begin conducting draws twice a week instead of the previous once a week.
To place your bets on the Eurojackpot lottery, you just need to go on our Eurojackpot page, select five numbers between 1 and 50, and two bonus numbers between 1 and 12, and finalize your transaction. Easy, right? You can also subscribe to Eurojackpot in order to participate in every single draw. This can be done by selecting the subscription option before finalizing your transaction, and your numbers will be automatically submitted for you in every draw!
The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 140,000,000 and the overall odds of winning a prize in Eurojackpot are approximately 1 in 26. Chances of winning are different for each prize tier - have a look at the prize table below.
There are 12 different prize tiers in Eurojackpot, depending on how many numbers you are able to match. To win the jackpot, you will need to match all 5 numbers and the 2 bonus numbers. But you can win a prize if you only match three main numbers or two main numbers and one bonus ball. The value of each prize, including the jackpot, depends on the number of tickets sold and the number of winners per prize tier. If there is more than one winner for a given prize tier, the prize will be shared among the winners. Check out the below prize table for more information:
